Did you wonder?  And if so, wonder what in the world you would do with the big Spice Cake Designer Buttons?  A couple of my stamping ladies thought they looked cool but would be nice on a larger project like a napkin as pictured in the 2011 Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog.

Itching to play with my new Spice Cake Designer Buttons, I tried using them on cards.  Turns out they are not too big at all.  A nice change for the ordinary.

Admittedly, they are considerably larger than the standard buttons, but don't you like how my card turned out?  It adds to it without overtaking it.  Comment below if you agree or disagree.

Naturally the playing with new toys was not limited to the new Spice Cake Designer Buttons, but it was an absolute must to also play with the coordinating Spice Cake Designer Series Paper and Gently Falling stamp set.  All are from the 2011 Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini Catalog.

How do you attach the big buttons?  Mini Glue Dots.  They have a strong hold.  I am not concerned about the big button falling off in the mail.  I used four Mini Glue Dots to hold my button securely.

The button is threaded with Natural Hemp Twine.  You probably already know this, I just don't care for button holes to be left empty.  I think it makes the project look unfinished.  It takes an extra moment or two to thread a button, but it is just one of the little touches I talk about that steps your handmade card up another notch.  Visualize my card design without the Natural Hemp Twine.  Just not quite right, is it?

I did another card with the Gently Falling stamp set, Spice Cake Designer Series Paper and Spice Cake Designer Buttons, but I can't show it here.  It is a special bonus for my Hassle-Free Cards subscribers.  I promised to keep my Hassle-Free Cards exclusive for my subscribers only.
