The Stampin' Up! Snow Much Fun stamp set is easily more than just a Christmas stamp set. Godby (God-be) With Us Stamper SHERRIE BRYANT used it to make a beautiful handmade birthday card for my husband.
The snowman stamp made its impression on Watercolor Paper die-cut with the largest square from the Sizzix Squares Duo Bigz Die. He fits on there so well. He looks made for it with the balanced white space on each side.
There are many elements to this card that came together for a great handmade creation. Let me point out a couple. The Red Glimmer Paper was a delightful accent to the vintage looking card. Honestly, I do not believe using the glitzy red paper would have been a thought that passed through, even briefly. Yet, look at it. Now it is hard to imagine this card without it.
The ink splattered finely over the Watercolor Paper is a big help in creating the vintage look. You can easily make your own splatter in your choice of Stampin' Write Markers with the Color Spritzer Tool.
The Snow Much Fun stamp set comes with a couple of saying stamps, but neither are birthday greetings. The Happy Birthday greeting Sherrie used is from the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set die-cut with the coordinating Bitty Banners Framelits Die. Not only does it convey the message Sherrie wished to express, it adds balance to the card filling in the wider area at the botttom of the card.
All the elements are displayed on the argyle embossed Real Red Card Stock. The Argyle Embossing Folder is made up of four triangles to create each triangle. A great embossing folder for masculine orders.
