Someone has discovered embossing!   I should write she has just recently been able to partake in the joy of embossing and die-cutting for her beloved craft of cardmaking.

First, let me show off one of her first embossed cards and then tell you the story of the how and why now she can emboss and die-cut.

Our embossing enthusiast used the Stampin' Up! Elegant Lines Embossing Folder to emboss the entire front of her handmade greeting card.  That quick time it takes to emboss with an embossing folder in the Sizzix Big Shot Die-Cut Machine provides texture and design to our handmade cards.

The story:  our stamping friend just loved all the embossing and die-cutting used on my exclusive handmade cards in my Hassle-Free Cards and Virtual Stamp Club projects.  What most of us find effortless in turning the handle of the Sizzix Big Shot was just not possible because her hands just are not strong enough to create the embossed and die-cut magic.

Even though she was left on the sidelines, she kept a great attitude and enjoyed making and sending tons of cards as her ministry.  Then one day an angel called wanting to purchase some of the retired Stampin' Up! stamp sets I have listed for sale.  As you can imagine, it is easy to get into a conversation with a fellow stamper who loves the craft too.

Somehow in our conversation she mentions an electric die-cut machine.  Our embossing-lover-but-left-on-the-side-lines-stamper immediately comes to mind.  I write down all the details of this machine and wait excitedly impatient for her to return from vacation to share the news.

This die-cut machine is the e-Bosser.  She was so excited when I told her about it, we got on the internet and found one to order.  It took several weeks to get delivered, but as you can see, our embossing friend is having the time of her life!

I am so excited for her.  Tried so hard to design projects without using my Big Shot, but it was so hard not to use it.  The embossed and die-cutting images are a quick and easy way to embellish our handmade cards and look just brilliant.

Our friend excitedly also immediately purchased several Stampin' Up! embossing folders and dies to make some of the projects she has so longed to make.  Now she is a player instead of a cheerleader.

Naturally, the eBosser is more expensive than the manual Sizzix Big Shot Die-Cut Machine we sell.   My advice is if you have no trouble gripping and turning a handle, purchase the Big Shot for less money.  You also can use it anywhere you can find a flat surface.  You do not need to be close to an electrical outlet.

But, if gripping and turning the handle is painful or simply impossible, the extra money it would cost to purchase the eBosser would be worth every penny if you have felt left on the sidelines and want to be a player too.
