The Stampin’ Up! Country Home card samples shown on page 42 of the 2018 Stampin’ Up! Holiday Catalog are quite appealing. So much so I wanted to make the one with the pitcher. Make it but make it much easier.
My easier version eliminated two challenges. The first is you won’t need to hand trim around the delicate details of the flowers. That will save you a lot of time. The second is the flowers in the sample go over the top edge of the card and will probably get bent. It would be a shame after the time it took to cut them out.
My Country Home card remake was easy to make and still looks fabulous.
The vibrant color and shading are all courtesy of Stampin’ Blends Markers. I was talking with one of my sweet stampers this week and we were both gushing over how much we love our Stampin’ Blends Markers, alcohol markers in exclusive Stampin’ Up! colors. They simply make us all look like we’re highly skilled.
There’s one more thing I want to point out about my Country Home card and that’s just how cool the Everyday Label Punch is. The look was altered a bit for the greeting layer. The round part was trimmed off. This will make it especially good for masculine greeting cards. AND, it was used to make the corners for the Whisper White Cardstock layer. This punch just gets better and better.
